Iwanow Gets Perfect Night

Good Friday was a great Friday for Blake Iwanow, who has had a perfect night, claiming both of his heat wins and then going on to win the twenty lap feature in what was the first night of two as part of the Easter Trail event!
Iwanow was so dominant that he led almost every lap of the night’s events: ten of sixteen laps in his two heats and then all twenty laps in the feature event.
Joining Iwanow in the heat race winners list was brother Matt Iwanow and Daran Humfrey, with Humfrey doing enough in his second race to qualify on the front row alongside Blake while Matt shared the second row with the vastly improved Kahn Cutts.
Blake would immediately grab the lead and while Matt would briefly hold down second place on the opening lap, Humfrey would quickly move by to take the position.
From this moment, there would not be one single passing move in the top five cars, Blake Iwanow leading Humfrey, Matt Iwanow, Cutts and Heydon Hicks.
Even a stoppage with four laps complete, that ended up being a red light as Justin Wragg rolled heavily after riding the wheel of another car, would not change the order, the battle picking right up where it left off.
Behind them Zayne Martin and Harry Phillips would have a race long battle for sixth, the duo swapping places a number of times with Phillips eventually grabbing the position while Tom Britton came from nowhere to pass Martin for seventh on the final lap. Chris Clark and Blake Scarey would round out the top ten finishers.
